Botox – treatment of hyperhidrosis

An effective method for treating hyperhidrosis of the forehead, armpits, hands and feet is superficial administration of botulinum toxin using a thin needle in the appropriate concentration and dose. This blocks the nerve endings that supply the exocrine glands (sweat secretion is blocked).

How long does the treatment last?

20-30 minutes before the treatment anaesthetic cream should be applied to the treatment area, the treatment itself lasts about 30-40 minutes. The treatment is quick, safe and does not exclude the patient from everyday life.

When are the effects visible?

The effects are visible about a week after the treatment and last for an average of six months.
