Migraine is a neurological disorder that occurs mainly in women. A genetic basis is most often cited as the cause, and the disease is aggravated by stress and hormonal fluctuations.
- Intense headache that is usually located on one side, usually behind the eyeball and temple.
- It has a growing, throbbing character
- The condition may also be accompanied by other symptoms (i.e., nausea, vomiting, hypersensitivity to light, sound, and odors)
- The attack usually lasts from 4 to 72 hours, with varying frequency
Requires careful diagnosis, as not every headache is a migraine.
